I went to Borders yesterday to do a little browsing and came across a book on the offshoring of software jobs. While it didn't contain any information I hadn't already seen, following some of the recommended links from its amazon.com entry led me eventually to Johanna Rothman's Hiring Technical People blog. I found the points of view expressed by her and those who made comments refreshing, and decided to add its RSS feed, jrothman_hiring. There was a controversial entry on how puzzles discriminate that I found particularly interesting.
My LinkedIn network is much bigger now, and I have reconnected with some people I haven't heard from in a while.
