My shoulder is feeling much better. There's a bit of pain and stiffness when I wake up, but after a while it's hardly noticeable. I can do most of the range-of-motion exercises my doctor gave me. I'll probably still go to the physical therapy class to see if they have any advice for my dancing.

Speaking of which, I was able to get through both my private lesson on Monday and the Viennese Waltz class on Tuesday. In my private lesson, Gita (my teacher) worked with me on reducing the tension in my right shoulder. I tend to tense up, especially when I'm in closed position, which causes pain. I tried applying some of what she told me in the Viennese class, and was able to get through it without too much discomfort. I had a bit of a problem trying to lead some followers whose frames weren't solid, but otherwise, things went reasonably well.

In the piano studies department, there's a possibility that my teacher won't have a recital until early next year. If it is delayed, that will give me more time to polish Le Petit Noir, which I don't have quite up to performance speed yet. (I am thinking of learning some of Vince Guaraldi's music from Peanuts for performing at a winter recital, actually.)

I currently have nothing but the crudest tools to digitize audio. I've been thinking about buying some sequencing software. In the meantime, perhaps I can record myself on one of my teacher's keyboards that has a built-in sequencer.
