I've pretty much settled back into my old routine of piano practice and long walks. I also was able to spend some quality time over the past few days cleaning up around my place. I even swept all the fallen leaves off of my patio. It's supposed to rain sometime soon, so it was good to get that out of the way.

My piano teacher thinks that the reason I sometimes have trouble playing the pieces I'm studying is because I'm not singing them in fixed do while practicing. I don't think that's the problem. I know what the notes are (by letter name and sound). I can even play most of the pieces slowly without looking at the music. The problem is that I haven't got the fingering down yet. So we've struck a deal: I'll try the fixed do, but if its easier (and more helpful) to sing the letter name notes, numbers, etc., I can do that instead.
