I thought about going dancing last night, but as usual, opted to do other things that needed to be done, such as reviewing French. As I was falling asleep, I was trying to derive the derivative wrt x of ekx (k constant). I don't know why I was thinking about that. Perhaps it has something to do with the book on teaching numeracy by Lynn Stein that I recently checked out of the Mtn View library.

So, unsurprisingly, one of last night's dreams was about being in high school. This time, I was riding home on the subway. I'd left school early enough to get the F train that switched over to the local track after leaving Parsons Blvd., so I was able to get off at the 169th St. exit. When I reached the surface, it was dark. I was scared because I thought someone was following me. So I went over to the bus terminal on 165th St. across the street from the library to get donuts. (Getting donuts from there is a fond memory dating back to when I was really young and my mother used to take my sister and I to shop at the Macy's that was in the same mall as the bus terminal. After shopping there and at Woolworth's, we'd get donuts sometimes.) The dream ended there.
