dropping serious math on ya head

All this math talk has brought back some mostly pleasant memories. I used to know a lot of math; now I hardly remember any of it. For example, I remember learning about eigenvalues and eigenvectors in linear algebra, but now I would have to go look up how to compute and use them in my old textbooks.

On a somewhat related subject, I decided to check a few search engines to see what they turned up for the query [eigenrank]. I was disappointed that AV had no results and Google only one. The most results (two) came from AllTheWeb (now served via gladiator). You can check them out for yourself; the latter is a sad commentary on what was once a core technology of AV, and of AV itself.

I haven't had much time to think about the Yahoo acquisition and what its implications are for my future employment. There's still a lot of AV-ATW integration going on, including an upcoming gladiator release with its own set of problems keeping me busy.
