just haven't had much time to write because I've been trying to review
things I used to know when I was doing computer network R&D, in
addition to looking for a job and practicing piano.
I've been having some doubts about the viability of getting back into
computer networking. Long story ... short version, a lot of companies
aren't doing well financially, those that are buy up the ones that
aren't for their technology (and in some cases, their staff), and
there's an awful lot of competition for jobs. (For example, the
recent acquisition of Procket by Cisco.)
