I'm in Florida visiting my parents. The weather is warm and somewhat humid, but I find it
much preferable to the cold, rainy weather in the SFBA.
The last few weeks have been unusually hectic. I worked overtime practically every day
(including weekends) to get my project finished before going on vacation. There were also
some family illnesses I had to deal with. As a result, I had no time for dance lessons,
and missed all but two of my chorus' performances. (At least I was able to sing in the
holiday concert.) Perhaps things will quiet down next month, but I'm starting to have my
usual issues and concerns about non-work commitments. In short, I think I may have to
give up dance lessons indefinitely.
There's a lot of stuff I'd like to write about, but I don't have time. But I did want to
make note of this being the 30th anniversary of my first trip to California. We visited
Mike Pondsmith's family for the first half of the trip, then drove down to SoCal to visit
one of my mother's uncles. Mike introduced me to D&D on that trip.
