Just a quick catch up note – things are going ok at work, but I'm very busy, and don't have much time to write right now. I'm into the steep learning curve, and I am learning, but it's very challenging. I seem to be better adjusted to the workday; I'm not feeling like I need a siesta every afternoon like I did a few weeks ago.

I've decided to take public transportation 2-3 times per week. This morning, I had my best time ever on PT – 1 hour 10 minutes. I probably can't cut it down much further because of the frequency and speed the light rail and buses run. I haven't used my work laptop on the train yet; I've just been reading my BGP books, mostly. (However, I did read about the CA propositions on tomorrow's ballot one day last week.) Perhaps, in the long run, I'll use that time to review French, or do some light reading, but I doubt I'll get any serious work done.

The proposed M$ acquisition of Yahoo! is all over the e-news. I don't think I'll have much time to write about it. In general, this is something I saw coming for quite some time. I just feel sorry for the people who will lose their jobs, having gone through several acquisitions that resulted in job cuts (including eventually mine).
