Last night, I had a lesson with the Jeffrey Lynn, judge for Sunday's
showcase. I got surprisingly good comments; she didn't even mention
my having to start my bolero routine over. She did point out that I
need to keep my head and shoulders erect and lift my ribcage. After
that, my teacher worked with me on forward changes in viennese, which
I never use (possibly because I learned it a long time ago). My body
still wants to do balancetes, but I think I will be better off doing
more forward changes.

BTW, Jeffrey Lynn is a dance geek. She studied math and physics and
applies it to dance. It is fairly common in lessons with her to hear
about torque, centripetal force, etc.

I'm still tired, courtesy of continuing log-munching problems.

That sounds cool! It's neat when people are able to blend two apparently-disparate worlds like that.
