on va en France

My chorus' fall season kicked off tonight. Today was my tenth anniversary. We were treated to a little duet from an alto and a baritone, On va en France, containing all sorts of anecdotes from our trip.

The lineup features the return of Jingle Bell Rock. There are several new pieces, such as Vamos Todos a Belén (a beautiful Spanish lullaby), and a collection of Christmas spirituals. One of them, What Month Was My Jesus Born In has a solo that I'd try out for if I wasn't feeling so skittish about singing this quarter. Since the top note in the solo is a high A-flat, perhaps it's not really appropriate for me.

It was good to see everyone again, but it made me feel sad for reasons I've discussed earlier.
