There was a job posting at Cisco a week or so ago for an 802.11 software engineering position. I don't qualify for it (yet) because I have little (recent) experience in what they're looking for. However, I had forgotten that I have some RF (radio frequency) knowledge. Some of it came from MIT EE classes, some from SRI work, some from audio engineering classes (when I wanted to switch careers), some from working with the KZSU engineering department, and some from general interest in radio. Sometimes I forget that I knew something about something if I haven't needed to use it in a long time.
