I read a post about how people lose their tech vision after 30 on Don Dodge's blog yesterday that really made me angry. The comments led me to other blogs, such as BackupBrain, where I found some more stories of people struggling to find jobs. Arguably, these people are much more well-known than I am, having written books, given talks, etc. It's scary how many people who were arguably getting things done have lost their jobs, and struggle to find tech jobs while companies continue to complain to the US government that there aren't enough qualified people available.

Given everything I hear, I expected, starting my first job out of college yesterday at Charles River Analytics, for most of the crowd to be very young. Not so. Most of the people I've met so far seem to be at least in their 30s, and some are older. Which is nice in a way.
